At Gil we are constantly innovating to find the most suitable solutions for our customers’ needs.

Currently, woody crops are booming, and for some years now they have been gaining hectares compared to cereals. This large growth has meant that some of the tasks involved in the care and development of the tree are not fully mechanized.

Fertilization is one of the most important pillars for obtaining good results, and so far this work is done in a very heterogeneous way depending on the place, the crop, the farmer and the soil morphology. As fertilization is carried out in many parts of Spain, it involves very high costs of labor, fertilizer and time, since in most cases it is being done in an inadequate way, thus wasting a lot of fertilizer, and all the expenses in time and personnel that this entails.

Until now, the high price of some products, such as oil and almonds, has meant that these cost overruns have not been a priority, but little by little we have to seek maximum profitability with the lowest possible costs.

For these reasons we wanted to investigate how to find a solution to this problem, reduce these costs while improving and facilitating the work of fertilization. For this purpose, we have patented and launched on the market our new “FERTIFRUIT” LOCALIZING FERTILIZER.

There is nothing like it on the market, it adapts to both extensive and intensive plantations thanks to its extendable arms of up to 10m. It deposits the fertilizer in the quantity and in the place desired by the farmer, without wasting fertilizer between trees or in the middle of the street, thus avoiding the feeding of weeds, the contamination of groundwater, and above all the saving in costs and time.

Its operation consists of detecting the tree and depositing in the place and quantity selected by the farmer. The precision of this machine makes it suitable for all types and ages of planting. It is a totally revolutionary machine that will be the future in the world of fertilization of this type of crops.
